System parameter to set the format for exported cutting lists

This parameter and associated export methods are not often required as there are now other methods for exporting data - check with the supplier

Select the format for export. The options are:-

None

V6 / DOS Lite

V6 / Windows Lite

Cut Planner

Optisave

PNX/BDX (9999/5000)

PNX/BDX (250 parts)

Use the list to select an option

The file standard (ASCII or Unicode) must also be set.

See: Export cutting list format - ASCII / Unicode

Notes

The columns 'Max. Parts' and 'Max. Boards' show the maximum values for part and board lists for each format. The software automatically divides lists that have more than the maximum parts into smaller units. Control the maximum number of board types by editing the board list or board library.

Export format       Max parts      Max boards

1 DOS Lite            60              50

2 V6 / Windows Lite  250             200

3 Cut Planner        100              20

4 Optisave           225              20

5 PNX/BDX           9999            5000

6 PNX/BDX            250             200

- Option 5 is for exporting a large part list ONLY

- Also set the System parameter: Create data for to produce this data, use a setting of 9 to produce data for parts or a setting of A to produce data for parts and boards.

- The System parameter: Optimise options may need to be set for the method of dividing lists

- For the Optisave format the length of each information box is limited to 30 characters.

- Exported files are located (after optimising) in the location set by the system parameter: Path for Export data

- the different export formats also place restrictions on the file names, material, part and other codes. Make sure the original part list or requirements lists have names and codes suitable for the method of export.

- options  5 and 6 generate PNX files (for cutting list information) and BDX files (for board list information). The format of the dimension and cost fields in these files is as follows.

                Metric    Decimal inches   Fractional inches

Part Length     1 dec pl  3 dec pl          AAA-BB/CC format

Part Width      1 dec pl  3 dec pl          AAA-BB/CC format

Board Length    1 dec pl  3 dec pl          AAA-BB/CC format

Board Width     1 dec pl  3 dec pl          AAA-BB/CC format

Board Thickness 1 dec pl  3 dec pl          AAA-BB/CC format

Board cost      3 dec pl for all measurement modes

'dec pl' - number of decimal places output

- If PNX/BDX(9999/5000) is selected then a CSV file of up to 9999 lines will now be generated in the path for export, during a recalculate run.
