Max. strip width / recut length proportion

Optimising parameter to set a ratio for taking recuts

mct1950-01.gif

Applies when taking recuts using a separate recut device

- Enter a value for the ratio

For a recut the part length (recut length) and strip width must be greater than or equal to a fixed ratio

Ratio = Maximum Strip width / Recut length

See: Other recut devices

Example

Proportion (ratio) = 1.40

Max. Strip width = 420 mm

Recut length = 300 mm

420/300 = 1.40 = Ok

The ratio is typically used to avoid recuts which produce thin wide parts -these can cause problems for clamping because of the short length.
