Copy parts between patterns
The preview bar can also be used to drag parts between one pattern and another. See the topic 'Copy strips and parts' for details.
Notes
- For strip production runs, operations are restricted to deleting crosscut patterns. Rip patterns cannot be selected from the preview bar.
- Any changes are saved and summaries recalculated when the first non-pattern summary is selected or if another run is selected.
- If all patterns are deleted the screen acts as a 'New pattern' screen
- Preview bar is not available in the pattern library editor or the nested pattern editor.
- Grain match patterns are shown but cannot be selected in the preview bar
- When a selection of parts is dragged from the editor to a pattern on the preview bar the program allows the parts to be dropped if the sum of the part dimensions is smaller than the free area on the candidate pattern. Once the parts are in the new location further checks may mean that the parts do not fit, for example, the arrangement may not fit after recuts are applied. In this case the move is cancelled and the parts remain on the original pattern.
