Design a variety of templates for forms and labels.

Forms - typical forms are invoices, worksheets, despatch notes, run summaries, part lists, product requirement lists etc.

Creating a template (design)

It is best to experiment with Form design and get familiar with the way it works before committing to a particular design or set of designs. The demonstration data includes several different forms which can be copied and used as a starting point.

To design a form:-

Use the Designer to create the page layout

Use the objects on the Designer to add data to the form

The program makes data available via the form design objects and the type of form being designed. For example when designing forms for a Part list - the part list data (part code, length, width, quantity etc) is available) , when designing forms for Patterns the data from an optimised run is available (pattern number, run quantity, part quantity produced etc).

The design screen operates in a similar way for each type of design.

Printing forms or labels

To print a label or form, at the main screen:-

 Select: Form/label print

Form and label parameters

Use these values to set the overall features of the form or label, for example, the label size, number of labels across, page size for a form etc.

Form designs - location

The Form and label designs are all stored in the 'Path for data' set in system parameters. This allows designs to be shared between users

Notes

- Where the label is designed for the saw  the design options are automatically adjusted to match the capabilities of label printing for each saw.

- Also use Form design to produce fully customised reports to add to the standard summaries in Review runs.

- The menu options shown and the fields/data available depend on the modules in use.
